Preparation

Before treatment

Ant treatments require minimal preparation, and there is no need to vacate the property. A few steps help on the day of the visit:

Ensure clear access to kitchens, under sinks, and skirting areas where ants are active
Point out the areas of heaviest activity and any visible entry points
Put away exposed food and pet bowls during the treatment
Keep children and pets out of rooms during treatment. Re-entry is fine once treated surfaces are dry

Aftercare

After treatment

Some ant activity after treatment is normal and expected. The most important step is to leave treated areas undisturbed so the product can reach the colony:

Open windows to ventilate the property and help the treatment dry
Expect ant activity to continue, and possibly increase, for up to two weeks. This is foraging ants carrying bait back to the colony, which is how the nest is eliminated
Do not wash, wipe, or spray treated surfaces or ant trails. This removes the product and disrupts the bait being carried back to the nest
A clear reduction in activity is usually seen within two to three weeks
All residential treatments are covered by a 3-month warranty. If activity has not settled within the expected period, contact us and we will reassess at no additional cost
